GS1 Digital Link Standard v1.2

From Database to Packaging Press in 3 Steps

Learn how TraceLink Engine bridges physical barcodes with dynamic cloud resolvers while maintaining POS scanner backwards compatibility.

STEP 01

GTIN Registration & Validation

The engine accepts your 14-digit GTIN and batch metadata. Modulo-10 checksum validation runs instantly on intake to guarantee barcode scanner compatibility before generating vectors.

// Example Input Data
GTIN: 00616423000000 (Validated Modulo-10)
Batch: LOT-2026-07A
URI: https://id.yourdomain.com/01/00616423000000/10/LOT-2026-07A

STEP 02

Pre-Press Vector Generation

High-resolution SVG and vector PDF assets are generated on-demand with standard Level Q error correction and mandatory 4-module quiet zones for print shops.

Vector Specification Ready for Print
  • Format: SVG / PDF (Resolution Independent)
  • Error Correction: QR Level Q (25% damage recovery)
  • Quiet Zone: 4 modules enforced on perimeter

STEP 03

Context-Aware Dual Resolution

When scanned by a smartphone, our Go resolver routes the consumer to the digital product passport. When scanned at checkout, point-of-sale systems read the raw GS1 Application Identifiers.
